i'm tendering my resignation sooooon!

And my boss knows about it, asked me if i'm interested in another job scope which still revolves round the education industry which i dun intend to stay and remain in in the long run because somehow i feel i'm not suited in such an industry. How?

I really dunno how.........

If my boss were to agree to my 3 conditions i'll most prob continue.

If not, in less than 2 months, i'll be jobless once again!

Here's an update of my work..

I'm beginning to love the kids in my centre even more, even though sometimes they really really really(X10) drive me very mad. Believe it or not, i even cried over one naughty kid some time ago. Felt so defeated with what i can do. And, i couldn't sleep on a few occassions over some demanding parents who gave me a hard time at work. Lastly, a little tired over some mishandling and inappropriate words by some of "my" teachers at workplace.

This is really enough for merely 2 months of work! BUT, one comforting thing is that i have the best boss at least for now. 难得!

So plus plus minus minus, i learn that reagding yourself, you got to change and not expect your world to change for you. Regarding everything esle, He holds them all under His hands.

Morning time with Him became a source of strength and encouragement :)

To be truthful, i dunno how long i can endure all this shit but i'm going to pray and laugh it off whenever i can. Don't be surprised in less than 2 months, i told you i quit my job, or in more than 1 year i'm still in this altogether. Let's see.

More importantly, i hope i dun loose hope.

It's a great learning experience :) from proposing to researching to interviewing to reporting..

Everyday has been a saving-fire day.

One day, this teacher does not turn up, i have to take over.

Another day, another teacher is sick, i have to take over.

You know what is the best?

I have to go straight into something unprepared and last minute, this is part of what real working life is about, last minute work for you to do it and do it well in the end.

Time to master this skill.

On a brighter side, i began to see my own weaknesses and flaws.

I realise that if i dun learn to take a deep breath, dun panick and just do it,

things will never work out.

Lastly on top of all this, fyp is still around you know.

I dunno how i'm going to pull through all these, trust in Him ba.

Can't imagine possibly working in a recruitment firm i once detest.
Luckily i'm opting for a temp position to last me through the FYP-ing period.
Afterwhich i will go on to job hunting again for my preferred. :)
Job hunting is not fun at all.

Finally back from Cameron Highlands.
Love this trip and company.
It's really a God-made air con place.
I've never bought so much vegetables in my life before..
13 corns, 2 packs of cherrie tomatoes, 2 bags of Japanese cucumbers, some tea, some..
If only i knew more about vegetables, so i can choose correctly.
For one thing, i encouraged my mum to want to go. lol.
I have this feeling i'll return back to the place again some time later... :)

Once a friend told me that it's a irresponsible thing to vent your anger, worries, disappointments on facebook wall because she feels that it indirectly affects others without providing any explanations. Though i too spend a short moment debating with her that the moment of releasing that emotion is so to allow feelings and thoughts be expressed out easier. It was not meant to affect anyone and if the person is concerned, the person can interact thru it. It saves some form of embarressment as well. Face to face interaction is always harder, no doubt more genuine. Moreover sometimes, the matter does not concern some people, or concern only a small percentage, maybe even just one, so how?
In the end, we ended with no conclusion.
I agree with her to a certain extent because i know perhaps as Christians, we are always assured with the One Above and sometimes throwing out your problems just doesn't solve it totally or make you feel better, worst in her case make others feel terrible.
Ok, so i'll try to resort to my own blog, own territory which readers choose to enter at their own risk, lol. Kidding, but enter with a mindset of wanting to understand what i am going through at that v moment. We're all learning the art of expression and if i can really, i will speak to you personally. FACE TO FACE interaction is the second best way of communicating, like it or not. The best?

I can't force myself to wake up earlier to do things.
I can't force myself to sleep earlier either.
This is bad for health and everything.
And on a side note, the girls around me and even some guys are getting smaller and smaller.. Feeling like a giant beside them, SOBZ. I can now feel how "plus-size" women feel now, not that they are ashamed of their size but compared to those around them, they become the odd one out. Unique is the positive but unrealistic word, sad to say in our society.
Of coz, i won't want to make others the odd one out as well as make myself the odd one out. SO... first i'm not going to stop myself from eating at all but i'm going to start eat healthier, that includes less sugar, less salt, less fat in my diet. I promise you that is the hardest thing in my life.
I enjoy food and i dun eat to fill my stomach only. The best is i'm able to cook them for myself. Talk about cooking, that's one of my resolutions and i would love to plan for this year. I realise also that when you cook, you take better note of things you eat becoz you see what goes into it.
I won't compromise the taste for health :P but i will try to combine both, how about that?
OK, we will see. As you know, i talk better than i do. LOL.

4 yrs ago, i went in university with the excitement and hope.
Though it did not turn out exactly the way i wanted, i still give thanks for all that has happened.
The first ever misson trip via the airplane was in uni,
The first ever hostel stay, away from my home was in uni,
The first ever skipping of lessons was in uni, :P
(i was so guai previously even in JC)
The first ever cutting of hair from long to short was in uni!
The first ever read of a book and a few others was in uni!
And many many many first times..
Thinking back, everything was not really a waste la, lol. :)
I'm embarking on my next phrase of life.

Okay! Everyone around me are looking for jobs, some have found, congrats. Some have not, jia you! For me, i really duno what to do sia. stressed! actually it's not i that i don't know what i want to do but something more practical maybe.

It's getting stressful when you hear of everyone moving on and you're still stuck in a i'm-still-thinking-of-what-i-want-do state. I need that single passion to last me my own whole life. Although many people say that you have to try and try and see and see.
I still dun want to waste my life as of now!

Last sunday, we went to career fair and at the end of the fair, all i felt was that there are so many things you can do actually. It's just a matter of which one that will last you your whole life. I'm not saying that the job i'm looking for must be the one that i can stick to it till i die, but one that i will not step into it and say, this is not what i want to do actually.

Haiz.. whatever it is, i need to pray. I need to ask and see open doors with that prayer in mind.
I need to believe and trust.

I really like what John Piper writes, that it's happiness that all of us are looking for but that happiness really comes from the happiness in God. Happiness in the Glory of God and in Desiring Him. It's no wonder that happiness is still waiting for me to find him, waiting for me to desire Him.

Huiyu just loves Korean Dramas!

i wished my life was like a Korean Drama.

A dramatic life with a ultimately romantic ending.

Although it was something i could not understand without subtitles,

it was something of hope, of love, of beauty and of meaning.

I like their culture, their way of life.

Believe it or not, although i'm a food lover myself,

meaning i can never survive without yummy food and variety.

Every time they eat the same old Kim chi, cuttle fish, nian gao and even hot soup, i feel so hungry.

They drink a lot, something which i probably won't.

Still, it was everything about their life i love.

The clothes they wear, shorts to work with high heels, comfortable clothes with a beautiful and straight forward touch to the entire look. Woow, i love it.

The way they express themselves, to each other, to their family, i love it too.

They don't express affection for their loved ones very outwardly but with much of inward real and genuine emotions. You can say they are great actors, but nonetheless, they do their acting with so much passion.

Really wonder what is the reality of life there..

yUu is blogging at 5:41am in the morning.
Gosh, i can't sleep.. coughing all the way for 15 minutes.
Mac at 12am is the most sinful thing you can have.
Anyway, besides the cough, the sinus is back, the freezing-but-cannot-off aircon is back even though i have tried to wear those longs to protect my fragile physicals from worsening the sinus, still it's useless.
Guess not just that, i have more things to fret about which drives my brain to not rest.
First is FYP, everyone is complaining. (i say at least 5 of them i've met in school, tell me about their terror writing their thesis) When they complain, i complain in my heart even more.
Second is this upcoming mission trip asked to consider, At least this is something i would like to go for but again, this concern, that concern. Haiya..
(my sister just woke up and ask me what am i doing, my mother will soon wake up and ask me the same question, waking up at 5plus is such a weird thing? lol.)
I'm feeling hot and flu-ey now. what a combination!

i also want to be like him who can go and experience life outside for a period of time.
Sometimes, in life you need to be away from the routine in which you cherish more of now and see what's out there.

We were just talking about about what we really want to do next time despite age is catching up and time is flying away like nobody's business. I remembered what i want to be when i was really young, say 15 years ago. Guess what? i wanted to be a lawyer! Lol, arguing for others and winning the evil forces is such a cool thing to think about. lol, but soon i realise there are also lawyers fighting for the evil forces and den it became not so cool afterall. Now? Something other den that.. Something not what i'm studying now.. Something that will make someone esle happy.. Something which is what i truely like..

Ultimately i believe that it is God that will prosper my plans if He choose to and He determines my future. If i could ask God one question with an immediate answer now, I would ask him, what will i become in 10 years time?

As usual, the excitement level is the lowest though there's still a little sense of hope.

Hope of the nearing end.

Today is the day that i'll be meeting my supervisor,

finally! When everyone had theirs a semester ago.

She's the first lecturer i liked in NTU due to her kind heart and approachable character.

Though deeper, i wished she was the other whom i knew would advance my FYP even more.

One side of the class says, rely on yourself while the other says a good supervisor is all that matters.

Oh well, I'll rely on what i have, adding a little more prayers and faith.

I'm hoping for the best, not the second best.

feeling the stress of age and career and lots of other other other things.

i promise myself that every stage of my life, i better enjoy it. NO CRISIS for me okayyy.

Shall i set some resolutions for the year? yes!

1. i want a getaway! (at least one whole week to any one of my desired places)

2. i want to learn drums or dance. (either one!)

3. i better read more.. (at least 5 books)

4. find a job i at least have some passion in.

5. set a budget for my braces and get my wisdom teeth out!

6. Make some new and good friends, which i dunno how or when. (let's say 3?)

7. Serve very hard for at least a quarter of the year (depends on His area of calling)

8. catch up with friends whom i have not met last year

9. FAMILY TIME! (do something different as a family)

10. Oh yes, learn cooking. LOL~

the same person that remains in my msn contact list whom i can only recall the last time i talk to her or him face to face was 3 yrs ago.. even longer for many. Facebook is one best example that we use to substitute our face to face interaction, connection.

Now, we are asking for efficient, fast, full of aims sort of interaction.

The only reason why i talk to you is perhaps coz i have wanted you in my team, in my group, in my conversation of "i love iphone" (for example only) for school, ministry, work with a purpose sadly for my own benefit.

i wished i was not that someone maintaining such relationships.

Books are the last things on my mind when it comes to consumption.
Throughout my 3 plus years in Uni education, i'm being forced to read, somehow saw that reading can be interesting if what you are reading is interesting to you. Previously, the act of reading itself makes me want to sleep and given my forever-tired eyes(time to give it some cucumber pads, never work well of course), they just can't keep awake for 1 hour or so. In the end, before i was able finish a few chapters, i start to feel sleepy and bored alrdy.
I'm a visual being perhaps. i dunno..
That's why i din like reading.
Today i bought for myself one of the best rated book: Tuesdays with Morrie.
I hope i'll finish it, enjoy it and spark off that interest.

Sometimes it's just HARD.

HARD to be patient and nice, doing good deeds, be a Light.
Just this year one student keeps asking me for anything and everything when she don't listen or check or ask the teacher. I mean i totally understand the difficulty of being a year one uni student. You are confused by almost everything, lost here and there and never get things right. Still, certain level of self-responsibility is needed. You should understand that you should at least try, do your part and not totally depend on someone esle.
Worse still, this year four student, same batch as me, my fellow soci mate who gets the rumour of someone who never chooses to go for lecture and expect others to give her all the notes.
You're fortunate that i don't reject easily and since u ask, i give. Be fair to others.
We take the effort to wake up early in the morning to go for lecture, force ourselves to listen hard and copy, there you are, at your own ease and comfort, take all the work.
THE WORST of all, your such a smart student, you don't score badly and you are in fact doing well.....at the expense of others.
Let my difficult year 4 pass well and good please .......................................................

the Fear of a foreign land

So many people have gone abroad without much adapting probs, at least to what i see

Really wonder what it is like to be out there, out of your comfort zone.

In the first place, am i in a comfort zone?~ lol.

Suddenly, there are so many messages and opportunities of going out,

working out and living out there in a foreign land.

My nice-NTUmate-who-gave-me-2masks & a Lego liquid paper from her Hong Kong trip is asking us if we want to go work and travel USA.

Wow, never dreamt of that.

I'm forever stuck in a situation of possibly-delayed-FYP,semester and stressful school life.

It's easy for her to think of such things easily without having to worry much about finance, about her on-time FYP and good results.

Stuck in my own world perhaps.

there's always a problem with studying for the LAST PAPER.
The reason being the last and i have totally no motivation for a paper that drag so long.
If i've shared with some of you, i've mentioned the lecturer for my last paper to be one who is very intimidating during tutorials.

Still i hope to do okay actually, a little wanting to prove that i can still do it despite not surviving his tutorials. Quite.. ya i understand but sociology is quite subjective wat, so you can't really say that i'm wrong if i can show you evidence.

Anyway a little update about my exams so far:
1.) 'Rise of the West' history paper
Comments: This is my very first paper, and i studied the most. It's quite difficult and a long paper to write for exams, tire my hands out! let's see if i win later.

2.) Sociology of Tourism paper
Comments: Din study too much compared to the previous but considered very easy for the level 3 paper. Did not have a good feeling when everyone write so much in their exams. These people always spoil the market and our mood. lol.

3.) Bahasa Melayu Malay language paper
Comments: Studied the least and the most difficult paper so far. My malay teacher really is quite heartless considering how difficult his CA paper was. haiz... "heng ah~!" I SU it!

Okay, all i have to say is i'm still surviving under God's grace and prayers. Thanks!

The exam takes away my energy for running.
Exams are simply fattening. I can't do anything other than sitting at a table with a pen in my hand and writing non stop.
Thank God for friends online whom i can just msn and release a little stress, online shops to free my mind away from notes and questions that do not concern me sometimes. Food is my best friend but they make me fat. I dun blame them just need to control.
Exams disrupt my life sometimes i feel.

Revolutions, Social problems, Inequalities and WARs...

My teacher once said that everyone should take sociology to make society a better place..
I think in the first place, sociology is just too depressing and interests-minded.
It brings you to this ugly world.
I hope i can come out of it asap..
